Volunteer with Us.

PRSA of WNC is a volunteer-run organization and we’re always looking to engage new member volunteers to help us further our mission. Volunteering is a great way to hone your leadership skills, network with other members, and give back to your professional community. There are various committees and positions within the chapter, many of which are in need of volunteers, including communications, membership, accreditation, and program development.

PRSA of WNC

The petition to charter the Western North Carolina (WNC) Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) was awarded by the National Board on August 22, 2019.

The PRSA WNC chapter is the fourth chapter to serve the State of North Carolina and the 13th chapter of the Southeast District, which is comprised of more than 2,500 members in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

The chapter serves members and students in four major hub regions across twenty counties. These hubs include: Asheville (the central counties), Boone (the northwest counties), Hendersonville/ Brevard (the southern counties), and Sylva/ Cullowhee (the western counties). Additionally, the chapter serves two Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapters: Western Carolina University and Appalachian State University.
